Chemotherapy-induced oral mucositis (CIOM) significantly impacts the quality of life in head and neck cancer patients, causing pain, difficulty in eating, and treatment interruptions. This comparative study evaluated the effectiveness of Yashtimadhu (Glycyrrhiza glabra) versus Triphala in managing CIOM and improving quality of life among 120 patients undergoing chemotherapy at a tertiary care hospital in India. Participants were randomly assigned to Yashtimadhu group (n=40), Triphala group (n=40), or control group (n=40) receiving standard care.
